Friends of the Port Hope Depot

The Friends of the Port Hope Depot founded in 2012 are a dedicated group of volunteers who have move the depot from its original location to Stafford County Park. The depot was built in Port Hope in 1904 after the railroad tracks were laid 1903. This was the end of that railroad line, in 1970 it was sold to a new owner who wanted to restore it, The depot is a classic example of the stations designed by the railroad company. Walk the old railroad bed, start at depot and walk to the engine house foundation, or visit the model railroaders village display, tours are available by calling Don at 989.550.5298. This museum is open Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 1-4.
