Small Business Counseling

The Tuscola County EDC provides free and confidential small business counseling to entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to start or expand a business.

Retention Calls

Informational visits to businesses and industries within Tuscola County to inform them of the economic incentive programs available and to find out if the business enterprises are having any problems with either the State of Michigan or local government.

Business and Products Survey

The Tuscola County Economic Development Corporation has prepared a Directory of Industrial Services and Products as well as a Survey of Wages and Benefits.

Aid in Loan Packaging or Gap Financing

A variety of public sector resources assist business and industry in their capital needs include Tax Abatement, Small Business Administration, Michigan Community Development Block Grant Thumb Works! – Employers Builders Alliance, Tuscola County EDC Revolving Loan Fund.

Brownfield Redevelopment

The Tuscola County EDC promotes the revitalization of local Brownfield sites.

The Tuscola County EDC works with local Downtown Development Authority programs, local Chambers of Commerce, the Michigan EDC, Thumb Works!, LEAD Tuscola and with other agencies to promote further economic development, wind energy development and organic agriculture.  Our goal is to communicate the attractiveness to locate a business in Tuscola County and promote job retention and job growth.
