The Tuscola County EDC is an independent corporation governed under the cooperation of all the supporting local units of government, and has its own bylaws and articles of incorporation.  the major financial support ofthe Tuscola County EDC is local Tuscola County municipalities.  The EDC board members are selected by the EDC board with the acceptance of the County Commissioners.  This gives the Tuscola County EDC the ability to navigate from political solutions and to concentrate on economic solutions.  Because of this support of the local municipalities and businesses from all parts of the county, this allows the EDC to put feet to our motto of “Progress through Cooperation”.

These men and women have on the Tuscola County EDC board have a true passion for the future of Tuscola County, dedicating many hours and taking time out of their busy schedules to attend board meetings and special events.  The board members make themselves available when needed by the EDC by helping with job development projects, to see them through to completion, not counting all the hours they donate.  With over 300 years of combined experience in business development and management in Tuscola County these dedicated people also work in lending there business expertise to looking to sustain, to grow, or to start a new business.
